BiblioHUB

BIBLIOHUB IS A SELF-INITIATED PROJECT THAT AIMS TO (RE)ACTIVATE THE PUBLIC LIBRARIES THAT CONSTITUTE THE NETWORK OF THE BUCHAREST METROPOLITAN LIBRARY (BMB).

BiblioHUB emerged from COLLECTIVE EAST’s desire to promote the successful model of Dutch library design, within the context of Romanian public libraries, which suffer from a lack of experience in integrated strategic design.

BiblioHUB is a self-initiated project that aims to explore the opportunities and potential of the public libraries network in Bucharest to become community-oriented knowledge hubs. The focus of the project is on an interdisciplinary research, leading to the formulation and implementation of an integrated solution for the transformation the network of community libraries into new places of gathering attuned to contemporary demands.
